The Property
The site lies inland of the Italian Riviera at the foot of the Maritime Alps approximately 300 m above see level. The property consists of olive terraces and is surrounded by oak forests. A small shop selling necessities is located nearby. In addition, there are beautiful marked hiking trails. Imperia, the closest city, can be reached in about 20 minutes by car.
The property (15 000 m²) is situated between two untamed streams complete with waterfalls and rocky pools; however, these are almost dry during the summer months. The house is surrounded by more than 100 olive trees, which – given enough helping hands – could provide the highest quality olive oil. The rest of the land is oak forest and shrub land (macchia Mediterranea).
